Purchase Flow & Delivery
When someone buys a beat from you through Producer Dashboard, the experience is designed to be fast and seamless. Here is what the process looks like from the buyer’s perspective.
The buyer’s journey
Section titled “The buyer’s journey”1. Browse your public page
Section titled “1. Browse your public page”Your public page displays all tracks you have made available for sale. Buyers can:
- Browse your catalog with cover art, track titles, and preview players
- Filter by genre, mood, BPM, or key
- Play previews directly on the page using the waveform player
- See available license types and pricing for each beat
Your public page URL is based on your username:
https://producerdashboard.app/u/your-username2. Select a license type
Section titled “2. Select a license type”When a buyer finds a beat they want, they click Buy or select from the available license types. Each option shows:
- License name (e.g., “Premium Lease”)
- Price
- What is included (MP3, WAV, stems, etc.)
- Key terms (stream limits, exclusivity)
The buyer chooses the tier that fits their needs.
3. Checkout via Stripe
Section titled “3. Checkout via Stripe”After selecting a license, the buyer proceeds to checkout. This is handled entirely by Stripe:
- Secure payment form with credit/debit card fields
- Support for Apple Pay, Google Pay, and other Stripe-supported payment methods
- No Producer Dashboard account required for the buyer
- The buyer enters their email for delivery
The checkout happens on a secure Stripe-hosted page. You never handle card details directly.
4. Automatic file delivery
Section titled “4. Automatic file delivery”Once payment is confirmed:
- The buyer immediately sees a download page with their purchased files
- A confirmation email is sent to the buyer’s email address with download links
- Download links are valid for a limited time and can be regenerated from the confirmation email
- Files are delivered based on the license type’s deliverables (MP3, WAV, stems, etc.)
The entire process from clicking “Buy” to having the files takes under two minutes.
What you see as the seller
Section titled “What you see as the seller”When a sale happens, you receive:
- A notification in Producer Dashboard
- An email confirmation with sale details
- The sale appears in your Sales section with buyer email, license type, amount, and date
- Funds appear in your Stripe account according to your payout schedule
You do not need to manually send any files. Everything is automatic.
File delivery details
Section titled “File delivery details”The files delivered to the buyer come from your track’s uploaded files in Producer Dashboard:
| License deliverable | What is sent |
|---|---|
| MP3 | The MP3 bounce of your track |
| WAV | The WAV bounce of your track |
| Stems | All stem files associated with the track |
| Project file | The DAW project file if available |
If a deliverable is listed in the license type but the file does not exist on the track, that deliverable is skipped. Make sure your tracks have all the files uploaded that you intend to deliver.
Buyer contact
Section titled “Buyer contact”After a purchase, you have the buyer’s email address from the transaction. You can reach out to:
- Confirm any details about the license
- Send additional files if needed
- Build a relationship for future sales
The buyer’s email is visible in your sales history for each transaction.
After the sale
Section titled “After the sale”- For non-exclusive licenses, the track remains available for sale to other buyers.
- For exclusive licenses, the track is automatically marked as sold and removed from your public page. See Managing Sales for more on exclusive handling.
- Keep your public page updated with fresh beats to encourage repeat visits.
- Upload high-quality preview audio. The preview is what sells the beat.
- Make sure all deliverable files are uploaded before making a track available for sale.
- Respond to buyer emails promptly. Good communication leads to repeat customers.
