Pricing Your Beats

Once you have created your license types, the next step is to assign them to individual tracks. Each track can have its own set of available licenses and custom pricing.

  1. Select a track in the tracks grid.
  2. Open the Licensing section in the activity panel.
  3. Click Add License.
  4. Choose from your available license types.
  5. The default price from the license type is applied automatically.
  6. Adjust the price if you want a custom amount for this specific track.
  7. Click Save.

You can assign multiple license types to a single track. For example, a track might offer Basic Lease at $30, Premium Lease at $60, and Exclusive at $500.

Every license type has a default price set in Settings, but you can override it on any individual track. This is useful when:

  • A track is higher quality or more in-demand than your average beat
  • You want to run a sale on specific tracks
  • A particular beat has stems or extra deliverables that justify a higher price
  • You are testing different price points

To set a custom price:

  1. Select the track.
  2. Open the licensing section.
  3. Click on the price next to any assigned license type.
  4. Enter the new price.
  5. Click Save.

The custom price applies only to that track. Your default license type pricing remains unchanged for other tracks.

If you need to assign license types to many tracks at once:

  1. Select multiple tracks in the grid using Cmd+click (Mac) or Ctrl+click (Windows), or Shift+click for a range.
  2. Open the bulk actions menu.
  3. Choose Set Licensing.
  4. Select which license types to make available on all selected tracks.
  5. Prices default to your license type defaults.
  6. Click Apply.

This is especially useful when adding a batch of new beats to your store, or when updating pricing across a project.

If you no longer want to offer a particular license type on a track:

  1. Select the track.
  2. Open the licensing section.
  3. Click the remove icon next to the license type you want to remove.
  4. Confirm the removal.

Removing a license type from a track does not affect existing sales. Buyers who already purchased that license keep their rights.

A track appears on your public page only when it has at least one license type assigned with a price. If you want a track in your library but do not want to sell it, simply do not assign any license types.

You can also toggle a track’s public visibility independently of licensing. See your track’s sharing settings for more control.

  • Research your market. Browse similar producers to understand typical pricing in your genre.
  • Create clear price tiers. Buyers should immediately see the value difference between a $30 and a $100 license.
  • Price exclusives significantly higher. Once sold, you cannot sell that beat again. Make sure the exclusive price reflects that.
  • Use round numbers. $30, $50, $100 are easier for buyers to evaluate than $29.99 or $47.
  • Update prices as your brand grows. As you build a reputation, your beats are worth more. Revisit pricing periodically.
