Managing Share Links

Every share link you create is tracked in the sharing widget. From there you can review your active shares, re-copy links, check engagement, and revoke access when you no longer want a link to work.

The sharing widget lives in the activity panel. Select a track in the grid and open the sharing widget to see all share links associated with that track.

Each entry in the list shows:

  • Track name (or playlist name for multi-track shares)
  • Creation date — when you generated the link
  • View count — how many times the link has been opened
  • Download count — how many times files have been downloaded (if downloads are enabled)
  • Expiry status — active, expiry date set, or expired

Lost the link? Need to send it to someone else? Click the copy icon next to any share link entry. The URL goes back to your clipboard, ready to paste.

The URL never changes. The same link you created originally is the same one you re-copy later.

Click on any share link to open its detail view. Here you can see:

  • Full engagement stats (views and downloads)
  • Current settings (downloads enabled/disabled, expiry date, message)
  • The creation date and time

From the detail view, you can also update settings. Changes take effect immediately — see Share Settings for what you can configure.

When you no longer want a share link to work — maybe the review period is over, the deal fell through, or you just want to clean up — you can delete it.

  1. Open the sharing widget.
  2. Find the share link you want to revoke.
  3. Click the delete icon (or open the detail view and choose Delete).
  4. Confirm the deletion.

Once deleted:

  • The URL immediately stops working. Anyone who clicks it sees a “this share is no longer available” message.
  • The deletion is permanent. You cannot recover a deleted share link.
  • View and download stats for that link are removed.
  • If it was a playlist share, all tracks in the playlist become inaccessible through that specific link.

You have two ways to end access to a share link:

MethodWhat happensReversible?
Set an expiry dateLink stops working on that dateYes — clear the date to reactivate
Delete the linkLink stops working immediately and permanentlyNo

Use expiry dates when you want temporary access with the option to extend. Use deletion when you are done with the link entirely.

The quickest way to see all shares for a track:

  1. Click the track in the grid.
  2. Open the sharing widget in the activity panel.
  3. All share links that include this track are listed.

This includes both single-track shares and any playlist shares that contain the track.

Over time, you might accumulate share links you no longer need. Some tips for staying organised:

  • Delete links after projects wrap up. If the feedback round is done and the track is released, you probably do not need the review link anymore.
  • Use expiry dates proactively. Setting a two-week expiry when you create the link means you do not have to remember to clean up later.
  • Check for zero-view links. If a link has been sitting with zero views for weeks, the recipient probably never got it or is not interested. Consider deleting it or following up.
  • Deleting a share link does not affect the track in your library. Your music stays exactly where it is.
  • If you need to reshare a track after deleting a link, just create a new share link. It takes seconds.
  • Playlist share links show all tracks in the playlist. Deleting the playlist share does not delete the individual tracks or any other share links.
  • You can have multiple active share links for the same track. For example, one link with downloads enabled for the vocalist and another without downloads for the label rep.
