Where to Download
Section titled “Where to Download”Head to producerdashboard.app and grab the latest version for your platform. The download page automatically detects your operating system and offers the right installer.
Installing on macOS
Section titled “Installing on macOS”- Open the
.dmgfile you downloaded - Drag Producer Dashboard into your Applications folder
- Open the app from your Applications folder or Launchpad
- If macOS shows a security prompt saying the app is from an “unidentified developer,” go to System Settings > Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway
That security prompt only appears the first time you open the app. After that, it launches normally.
Apple Silicon vs Intel
Section titled “Apple Silicon vs Intel”The download page provides a universal build that runs natively on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. No need to choose between them.
Installing on Windows
Section titled “Installing on Windows”- Run the
.exeinstaller you downloaded - Follow the installation wizard — the defaults work well for most setups
- Once installed, launch Producer Dashboard from the Start menu or desktop shortcut
- If Windows Defender SmartScreen appears, click More info and then Run anyway
Windows Defender Note
Section titled “Windows Defender Note”Since Producer Dashboard is a newer app, Windows SmartScreen may show a warning the first time you run the installer. This is normal for apps that haven’t yet built up a large install base with Microsoft’s reputation system. The app is safe to install.
Automatic Updates
Section titled “Automatic Updates”Producer Dashboard checks for updates automatically. When a new version is available, you’ll see a notification inside the app. Updates are downloaded in the background so they don’t interrupt your session. You can apply the update whenever you’re ready — just restart the app.
You can also manually check for updates from Settings > About.
Firewall and Network
Section titled “Firewall and Network”Producer Dashboard needs internet access for:
- Account sign-in and sync — your track data syncs across sessions
- Audio analysis — BPM and key detection run on cloud servers
- Sharing — generating share links for collaborators
If you use a firewall or VPN, make sure connections to producerdashboard.app and supabase.co are allowed.
The app works offline for browsing and organising your library. Changes sync automatically when you reconnect.
Uninstalling
Section titled “Uninstalling”Drag Producer Dashboard from your Applications folder to the Bin. Your account data lives in the cloud, so you won’t lose anything.
Windows
Section titled “Windows”Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps, find Producer Dashboard, and click Uninstall. Your account data stays safe in the cloud.
Troubleshooting Installation
Section titled “Troubleshooting Installation”App won’t open on macOS? Try right-clicking the app and selecting Open instead of double-clicking. This bypasses the Gatekeeper check.
Installer fails on Windows?
Make sure you’re running the installer as an administrator. Right-click the .exe and select Run as administrator.
Stuck on a loading screen? Check your internet connection. The app needs to connect to the server on first launch to set up your workspace.
If none of these solve the issue, reach out to support at help@producerdashboard.app.
