Todos Widget
The todos widget turns your tracks into actionable projects. Instead of keeping a separate task list somewhere else, your to-do items live directly on the song they relate to.
Need to re-record the chorus vocals, get stems from your collaborator, or send the final mix for mastering? Add it as a todo on the track and check it off when it is done.
Viewing Todos
Section titled “Viewing Todos”Select a track in the grid and open the activity panel. The todos widget shows all tasks associated with that track. Each todo displays:
- Task description — what needs to be done
- Checkbox — checked for completed, unchecked for active
- Due date — if a deadline has been set (shown as a date badge)
- Assignee — who is responsible, if assigned
Active todos appear at the top, completed todos below. This keeps your immediate action items visible without hiding your progress.
Creating a Todo
Section titled “Creating a Todo”- In the todos widget, find the input field at the top.
- Type a description of the task.
- Press Enter or click the add button.
- The todo appears in the active list immediately.
Keep descriptions short and actionable. “Record vocal ad-libs” is better than “We should probably get around to adding some more vocal parts at some point.”
Completing a Todo
Section titled “Completing a Todo”Click the checkbox next to any todo to mark it as complete. The item moves to the completed section with a strikethrough style so you can see it is done.
Click the checkbox again to un-complete it if you change your mind. Todos toggle freely between active and completed states.
Setting a Due Date
Section titled “Setting a Due Date”You can assign a due date to any todo to keep yourself on track.
- Hover over a todo item.
- Click the calendar icon that appears.
- Select a date from the date picker.
- The due date badge appears on the todo.
Todos with due dates that have passed show an overdue indicator so you can spot slipping tasks at a glance.
To remove a due date, click the calendar icon again and clear the selection.
Assigning a Todo
Section titled “Assigning a Todo”If you are working with collaborators, you can assign a todo to a specific person.
- Hover over the todo.
- Click the assignee icon.
- Select a collaborator from the dropdown.
- Their name or avatar appears on the todo item.
This helps when multiple people are involved in a track and you need clarity on who is handling what. Assignments are visible to anyone with access to the track.
Filtering Todos
Section titled “Filtering Todos”The widget includes filter options at the top to help you focus:
- Active — shows only incomplete todos (the default view)
- Completed — shows only finished items
- All — shows everything, active and completed together
Use the Active filter during your work sessions to see what still needs doing. Switch to All when you want a full picture of how much has been accomplished on a track.
Reordering Todos
Section titled “Reordering Todos”Drag and drop todos to reorder them within the list. Put the most urgent items at the top so they catch your eye first.
The order you set is saved and persists across sessions. Reorder as your priorities shift.
Deleting a Todo
Section titled “Deleting a Todo”If a todo is no longer relevant, hover over it and click the delete icon (trash or X). The todo is removed from the list.
Deletion is permanent — there is no undo. If you want to keep a record of the task but mark it as no longer needed, consider completing it instead.
Multi-Select Behaviour
Section titled “Multi-Select Behaviour”The todos widget works with single tracks. When multiple tracks are selected, the widget indicates how many tracks are selected and prompts you to narrow to one.
Each track group has its own independent todo list. There is no shared or cross-track task view in the widget (though you can see all todos across your library from the Dashboard).
- Create todos during listening sessions. As you play through a track, jot down everything that needs fixing. When the playback is done, you have a ready-made checklist.
- Use due dates for external deadlines. If a client needs the mix by Friday, set the due date on the todo so it surfaces an overdue warning if you slip.
- Check off items as you go. There is something satisfying about watching your todo list shrink. It also gives you a clear sense of progress on each song.
- Review completed todos before delivery. Scroll through the completed list to make sure nothing was missed before you send the final version.
